The Active Communities Network in Ireland and Northern Ireland is a part of an international partnership utilising sports, cultural and educational activities to broaden horizons, raise aspirations and offer pathways to achievement for participants within socio-economically deprived communities.
Active Communities Network has an established global headquarters in London, with regional offices across the UK, in Ireland / Northern Ireland and in South Africa, where demand for our services and the range of network partners has justified a regional presence. Our Ireland / Northern Ireland head office is based in Belfast.
Active Communities Network has been delivering support and services in under-privileged communities and with young people at risk in Northern Ireland since 2008 and in Ireland since 2009. Since that time our portfolio of services offered in these countries has grown to include direct project delivery, training and development, organisational support and capacity building and research and evaluation.
Although the Active Communities Network infrastructure, portfolio of services, geographical reach and range of partners now covers the local, regional, national and international arenas, our ethos and methodology remains committed to developing communities and young people through the use of neighbourhood based sports and cultural activities.
